KEY DATES Chinatown WORK, 2006 opens TUESDAY APRIL 18th The first installation at the HSBC Canal Street facade of the 58 Bowery Branch. The installation occurs in the evenings, to begin after dusk (7:30pm) until 11pm every evening from April 18th till May 21st.

Chinatown WORK, 2006 exhibit ends As part of the closing we will be filming that evening from 9:30pm -10:00pm (Sunday May 21st) passer-bys, pedestrian interactions, you etc. Please come join in the footage and be part of the lively documentation. Summer installation to be announced OUTREACH The interactive art piece reaches out to the public via support from local community boards, organizations like Asian Americans for Equality, Rebuild Chinatown Initiative, Museum of Chinese in the Americas, Asian American Arts Centre, Indochina Sino-American Community Center and newsletters to the community. Pamphlets are distributed via the Explore Chinatown campaign ticket booth (intersection of Canal and Baxter) and announced via their website. |
